Monsant
Monsant is a wine region in Catalonia in northern Spain. The grapes benefit from intense heat from the sun during the daylight hours and relatively cool evenings. This is known as “diurnal” temperature variation and it is a good thing viticulturally because it adds to the complexity of flavour in the grapes. The wines are expressive and the region has a high reputation for producing top quality reds made from Garnacha, Carinena (Carignan) and Tempranillo as well as other international imported grape varieties.
