Vermouth
Vermouth is a style of fortified wine that is derived from various botanicals, primarily either herbal or fruit based. The modern styles of vermouth that are widely consumed was derived mainly in Italy in the mid to late 18th Century, and proved to be very popular. Traditionally there are two styles - dry and sweet - with red vermouth also becoming very popular through use in cocktails such as Negroni’s.
